Council approves zoning change for auto-wrecking and scrap processing

misc · Meeting of September 2, 2026

PA MILTON — Milton Borough Council approves zoning change for auto-wrecking and scrap processing operations. The 7-1 vote on Ordinance 1265 allows the uses as permitted in the Economic Development District, enabling Direct Recovery to expand to a site at Cameron Avenue and Cherry Street. Direct Recovery owners Kaylee and Brandt Arnold said rail access at the site would benefit their business.

Separately, Council approved Resolution 26-02 authorizing application for a $700,430 Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant to improve State Route 642 and Mahoning Street, and authorized up to $220,000 in expenditures from borough reserves for rehabilitation of a blighted property at 18 North Arch Street.
